High Pressure Pulse Jet Cleaning
Using compressed air to regenerate filter media between 60 and 90 psig [5-7 bar] is a common way to keep differential pressure low across the dust collector.
The pulse valves and blowpipes are typically 1-1/2" to 2" in diameter. In the short blast of compressed air [80-150 ms], the pressure wave is introduced through the blowpipe, passing the orifices' above each bag, building back to front until the air exits the tube and enters the inside of the filter bag.
The key to cleaning the filter bag is the peak pressure that fractures the dust cake around the filter bag. This is why Pulse Jet systems work best between 3-8" of system differential pressure [DP].
