Daniel Locke - The Dust Guy
I'm a process engineer and consultant. I specialize in the reliability and operating performance of dry filtration systems in industrial minerals industries.
Cement, Lime, Gypsum, and calcium carbonate companies bring me in when:
Filter systems become a choke point for production goals
Maintenance teams are overwhelmed ducting issues
Their filter bag life is not meeting expectations
They need help evaluating options and designs from vendors
Their cleaning systems can't keep up or are using too much compressed air
After working in Deepwater GOM as a drilling fluid engineer in over 7,000 ft of water, I understand constraints and pressure to get things right in the midst of ongoing process challenges. I view filtration as part of the overall plant process from having sold explosion protection equipment, filter media, filter systems, engineering, construction, and maintenance services across the industry.
My clients recommend me to their peers because my approach is different than typical salespeople...
I approach every system as unique, but tied to the overall process and maintenance plan of the facility. Status-quo for the sake of copy and paste infuriates me.
I prefer to walk down the system and get the full story from both operations and maintenance. It's not uncommon for me to get filthy with your team when diagnosing problems.
My root-cause analysis breaks down the complex technical details into clear action. Sometimes the problem is how you operate the system, other times it's how you maintain it.
I help companies evaluate & write technical specifications to address their goals when on-staff teams are busy or inexperienced. Sometimes it's helpful to have a 3rd party guide in the process to provide impartial technical experience.
Don't call me for training. I have an ability to make complex topics simple but my talents are in solving problems.
I'm not a 3rd party project manager and I don't spend my time in CAD.
